Manufacturing Project Manager
Exciting new Permanent opportunity for a Manufacturing Project Manager based in Luton.
Following a recent expansion, our global engineering and manufacturing client is currently looking to expand their team in Luton with an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager you will ensure plans are available to manage all manufacturing activities and along with the resources required to successfully deliver and support product portfolio within an agreed line of business. The role will require rigorous planning, risk management, capacity planning and timely technical resolutions with a key focus on ensuring On Time & in Full delivery against demand whist driving lowest cost per unit and highest level of margins possible without compromising quality. The right candidate will champion and facilitate a culture of continuous improvements focusing on improving lead times, increasing throughput and cost down activities and be able to engage and create collaborative relationship across multiple functions - R&D, finance, manufacturing, material controllers and planning, procurement as well as business unit leaders
As a Manufacturing Project Manager your key responsibilities are to:
*Manage and plan all manufacturing activities and resources required to successfully deliver and support product(s).Management of agreed manufacturing budgets and risk provisions through all phases of the project.
*Leadership of Manufacturing input to Bid activities for new business opportunities.
*Manufacturing input to LCM process.
*PRR process and management of all subsequent action closures
*Implementation of optimised manufacturing and test Achievement of deliveries to schedule, quality and cost.
*Plan and schedule resources required to successfully deliver and support product.
*Management of agreed manufacturing budgets and risk provisions through all phases of the project.
*Definition and management of any Capital requirements;
*Facilities / Equipment
*Inventory optimisation through life cycle in accordance with lean manufacturing principles, LoB requirements and Site targets.
*My Time Management and Leadership:
*Provide technical leadership and training, coaching and guidance as necessary to optimise overall process effectiveness.
*Leadership of continuous improvement in support of business objectives
*Contribute to the formulation
Skills and Qualifications:
*Degree/HND in relevant subject or equivalent experience
*Demonstrable Project Management experience covering all product lifecycle phases at an appropriate level.
*Numerate and analytical Technical Skills/Knowledge
*Awareness of SHE legislation, company requirements and Procedures
*Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & continuous improvement techniques
*SCOR / ARIS / BMS
Some travel and overnight stays maybe required.
