Job Description:

Service Engineer

Salary:Up to £35k base + OTE £40-45k

Main Purpose of the Job:
To carry out installation, commissioning and service visits (routine maintenance and break-downs) of special purpose equipment within the UK, Europe, Africa and the Middle East (site work estimated at 70%)

Key Accountabilities:
*Carry out installation and commissioning of equipment.
*Carry out routine maintenance service visits
*Provide break-down support by telephone, email or on site (as required)
*Provide support for customers requiring spare parts including identification of parts and issuing Quotations, Order Acknowledgement etc.
*Provide customer training
*Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements in preparation of site visits
*Complete documentation as required by in-house procedures
*Effectively liaise with in-house personnel as required to resolve build and design issues.

Qualifications or Functional Experience:
*BTEC HNC Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Engineering-based Modern Apprenticeship

Essential Skills:
*Experience with special purpose machinery
*Mechanical fitting
*Ability to understand electrical and mechanical technical drawings
*Good IT skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MRP)
*Must hold a valid Driving License

Desirable Skills:
*Siemens PLC fault finding using Siemens S7 & TIA Portal
*PLC fault finding (Allen Bradley)

Personal Attributes:
*Must be able to travel and hold a valid Passport
*Excellent communication skills
*Able to use own initiative
*Problem solving abilities
*Flexible approach
