Job Description:

Our market leading, multi-national client based in Birmingham is currently looking for a Project Controller to join their team on an initial 6 month contract. The Project Controller will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the Projects deliverables are accurately maintained, documented and reported on in a consistent, standardised and robust manner.

The project controller is a key member of the project team and works directly with the project manager to help define the project's goals and objectives; create and maintain a project's schedule, analyse progress reported against the work schedules; and recommend actions to improve progress. In order to ensure accurate documentation and reporting on a consistent basis. They will ensure reporting on performance is conducted against specified and defined metrics utilising bespoke reports / dashboard to visualise and present project performance.

Responsibilities and Tasks
*Responsible for defining and specifying (with customer agreement) the necessary & appropriate project performance metrics / SLA
*Responsible for presenting and demonstrating project performance in a clear and concise manner to be used by stakeholders including the customer at varying levels of the organisation, as well as including the creation of new reports, tools and 'dashboards' where required
*Responsible for ensuring all information is based on live, most recent data from a variety of internal and external resources
*Actively seeks to find the answer to outstanding issues and escalates where required
*Establishing and defining the necessary processes to ensure project reporting and performance is routinely managed
*Ensure coherency of communications and interaction with Leonardo SPA on a regular and routine basis including Programme and Material Management
*Ability to independently assess / value works complete and utilise information on project performance
*Coordination of works effort / work streams onsite and in support of PM

Exploring new ways to utilise your current skills:
Demonstrable experience in utilising Project reporting tools including Microsoft Project, Primavera
Demonstrable strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and written/oral communication skills.
Ideally experience in Materials Handling market / domain
